LCE ALLOY’s patented process manufactures LCX96 Deoxidizer from recycled aluminum, cutting CO2 emissions down to 1.243 CO2e per ton compared to 15.61 CO2e per ton for traditional products, as per data from the International Aluminum Institute (IAI).
Significantly reducing your environmental impact, aligning with global sustainability targets, and paving the way for a greener industry.
How does it work?
At the stage of the steelmaking process, in order to reduce the carbon content of the molten iron coming out of the blast furnace, oxygen is blown into the converter. At this time, the carbon content is greatly reduced and the oxygen content is greatly increased.
A deoxidizer needs to be added every time the molten steel is tapped to reduce the oxygen content in the steel blank, so that in the subsequent secondary refining, the addition of alloys and oxygen can be avoided and refining and tempering can be smooth .
